Job Title: Landscape Designer/Sales (Residential)

This position offers a competitive base salary along with commissions on a sliding scale, providing strong earning potential. Position Overview:
As a Design/Sales Professional , you will work directly with new and existing residential clients to scope, design, and sell premium outdoor living projects. You'll guide clients through the sales and design process, ensure project goals are met, and help drive company revenue growth.
This role requires strong design expertise, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to manage multiple projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospect, develop leads, and sell design/build services
Manage your sales pipeline, backlog, and in-progress/completed projects
Estimate outdoor living projects and define scopes and budgets
Acquire subcontractor bids and approve invoices
Write and present contracts and proposals to clients
Serve as the main point of contact throughout the design/build process
Collaborate with internal and external designers, review plans, and offer feedback
Monitor financial performance and ensure projects are timely, profitable, and high quality
Conduct 30-day, 6-month, and 1-year follow-ups with clients
Perform weekly site visits to monitor progress, quality, and subcontractor performance
Foster positive, professional relationships with clients throughout the project lifecycle
Desired Qualities:
Strong planning, organization, and communication skills
Skilled in negotiation, performance management, and creating a respectful, accountable work environment
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Architecture, or Urban Planning)
3–5 years of relevant experience in landscape design and/or sales
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
Landscape Architecture degree is a plus
Desired Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, and Microsoft Office 365
Experience with CRM and estimating platforms (Aspire ERP is a plus)
Familiarity with 3D rendering software used in sales presentations
Registered Landscape Architect credentials are a plus but not required
Additional Information:
Minimum sales goal: $1.5M/year
Average project size: $50K, with many exceeding $350K
